Have your say on the future of South Glos libraries

Consultation on the future of South Gloucestershire Libraries

Libraries are such an important part of our community, they link people and services up, offer support and advice and empower people to achieve and believe. Community Ignite runs two very important services from Kingswood library, a peer-support group for those with poor mental health and the Job and IT club, which supports 100 people a year. We have also used the library as a place for local groups to come together and learn and share to strengthen the community.

South Gloucestershire Council are looking at the current library services and how to reduce them as part of a cost savings programme. If you feel strongly about the future of your local library, please respond to this consultation by 13th May 2016. Click on this link to find out more-  https://consultations.southglos.gov.uk/consult.ti/librarychanges16/consultationHome

You can also go along and speak to the local officers at all the library in the next couple of months - Kingswood library's sessions is on 23rd March, 2pm-9pm. You can find out when the others are on the website above.
